International, national, and local performers will be coming to White Lake August 3-13, 2017 to share their musical talents with us. Numerous concerts will be given each day throughout the festival, and many of the events are free!
About the Festival
This year is the White Lake Chamber Music Festival’s 8th year in existence, and it’s bigger and better than ever.
Among the festival’s numerous highlights will be three performances by the Chicago-based and much-lauded Avalon String Quartet. The concerts will be August 5th, 9th & 12th at Lebanon Lutheran Church in Montague.
Additionally, festival-goers can look forward to two performances by Fifth House Ensemble, an Ensemble in Residence at the Music Institute of Chicago. There will also be a delightful in-home performance at the Lake Michigan home of Gary & Linda VanderHagen. This event will feature a concert by William Watson (tenor), Tracy Watson (mezzo-soprano), and Teresa Kang (piano) along with wine, cheese, and desserts between sets.
Numerous other performances grace the festival’s schedule, including free, daily salon concerts held at The Book Nook & Java Shop in Montague. On the final evening (August 13th), The Book Nook will also host a French Theme Gala Dinner Party. The gala will feature a fine spread of French wine and fare plus live music by Michael Schaeffer on accordion. This event is $50 per person.
