If you’ve been reading the news, you know that our bees are in trouble. You may run from one if you see it in your home, but they’re also our friends! It’s been said that, “bees are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat.”
So, if you’re interested in learning what it might take to get started in beekeeping, check out this speaker series, during which the Lansing MSU Institute of Agriculture Technology at MCC coordinator will guide you through the habitat, equipment, and honey extraction procedures you’ll need to know in order to keep bees yourself.
Even if you’re not interesting in creating a home for bees in your yard, this is a fascinating series you won’t want to miss. Find out more about the event here.
