This year, the White Lake and greater Muskegon area is once again hosting their self-guided Depot-to-Depot Fall Color Tour. The popular tradition, now in its 18th year, allows visitors to explore the beautiful coast in all its autumn splendor from the Muskegon South Pierhead Light north to the White River Light Station.
During the entire month of October, you’re invited to travel along the historic West Michigan Pike Byway to discover designated natural and historic sites. To assist you on your journey, a map is available at either end of the tour at The Chamber Train Depot in Whitehall and The Muskegon Union Depot in Downtown Muskegon.
Although the Depot-to-Depot (D2D) Fall Color Tour route can be accessed any day of the week throughout October, Saturdays are optimal days to participate as our White Lake Chamber of Commerce offers donuts, refreshments, and free pumpkins for the kids to all who stop in.
D2D Saturdays will take place:
- Saturday, October 1st @ 9 am – 7 pm
- Saturday, October 8th @ 9 am – 7 pm
- Saturday, October 15th @ 9 am – 7 pm
- Saturday, October 22nd @ 9 am – 7 pm
- Saturday, October 29th @ 9 am – 7 pm
